But given the regime's track record, Iran's possible involvement with the cell is worth exploring further. Indeed, this story is worth investigating further--as are the possible ties between Iran and Hezbollah on the one hand, and al Qaeda's 9/11 hijackers on the other. As I wrote in my latest piece, the 9/11 Commission found that Iran and Hezbollah may have facilitated travel for a majority of the 9/11 hijackers in a manner very similar to this Bahraini al Qaeda cell. The Commission called for further investigation into the matter, but we are still waiting. If any such investigation is ever begun, the story of this Bahraini cell should also be looked into. The pattern of behavior is very similar. Posted by Thomas Joscelyn at 05:42 PM | Permalink | E-mail the author | E-mail article .
HOW NANTICOKE GENERATES POWER
NANTICOKE, Ont.–How power is generated hasn't changed much since Thomas Edison invented the coal-fired electricity plant more than a century ago. "We release the heat from coal to boil water to spin a turbine to generate electricity," says Nanticoke plant manager Frank Chiarotto, who's spent his entire 33-year career tinkering in coal plants. But understanding the concept and seeing it in action are two different things. (View a .pdf graphic of the fossil plant process.) This cold morning, a 200-metre-long ship arrives at Nanticoke, weighed down with a "small" 30,000-tonne cargo of coal that will take eight hours to unload. A "large" shipment is double that. During peak season, when the weather is hot and air conditioners across southern Ontario are humming, Nanticoke sucks back one shipment a day.

A Different Perspective
Yogi Bear stood at the entrance to Jellystone National Park. He scouted unattended picnic baskets while awaiting Boo Boo Bears arrival home on the school bus. Yogi and Boo Boo were co-owners of a playoff fantasy team. As Yogi considered himself smarter than the average bear, he figured his team had a decided advantage, but he needed Boo Boos help in researching and deciphering the most recent data before submitting teams for the next round of games. So he waited anxiously and kept a look out for Ranger Smith. The school bus screeched to a halt at the entrance and Boo Boo climbed down the steps, dragging his back pack behind him. The bus roared off in a cloud of dust and rubble. Hey, Boo Boo! Were still in first place in our fantasy league. Lets go look at the stats and make our picks. I dont want to play anymore, Yogi.
Google winner as Microsoft and Yahoo face off
A proxy fight could stretch until July, the latest it could hold its annual meeting this year, followed by a strict regulatory review process in the United States and Europe. After clearing those hurdles, Microsoft and Yahoo will have to merge two different advertising systems and consolidate completely separate back-end computer systems. Already, Microsoft is seeking to absorb its $6 billion purchase of advertising services company aQuantive from mid-2007. All the while, Microsoft has to figure out how to head off a feared mass exodus of Yahoo employees while paring back redundant brands. Continued... .
Gripe of the Week: 99 B-Line bus passups on January 29 equal volume of ...
The snowy morning of January 29 was not kind to transit riders. It was especially unkind to those, like this reporter, who chose to take the Über-busy 99 B-Line bus to work rather than risk a bicycle accident. What transpired at the intersection of Clark Drive and East Broadway was ugly. Time for a quick bus riders rewind… Around 8:30 a.m., rolling into the exposed bus shelter at Broadway and Clark, on the northwest corner of that intersection, it was strange to see people lined up behind the shelter, out of the view of the road. That is because the slush and muck of the slowly-melting ice and sludge was being sprayed all over us by every passing vehicle in the slow lane. People were covered in muck, and the 99s creaking to a halt were all packed full of people who got on at Commercial Drive.
Democrats clash on health, trade and rival tactics
Name 10 positive influences George W. Bush has had on this country, you probably can't and It's non-idiosyncratic people like you who got him elected in the first place, which was an election he stole(who becomes president with 43 percent of the popular vote), that trust me democrats have not forgotten about, and will add the flurry of liberal support in November. And let's put it this way as a writer, political activist, and intellectual I will have lost all faith in this country if they think a 71 year old chauvenistic war mongering, stroke risk could do a better job, than a young, charistmatic, voice of change. Because let's face it, who did better, John F. Kennedy or Richard Nixon. Let's remember out past. .
